Quads, 1 doe, 3 bucks
I was out of town for the weekend, and mom and Ashley were unavailable, leaving my youngest sister to deal with what turned into a very rough delivery. Thankfully a friend was able to come help. The first kid came out easy, the 2nd was turned sideways and trying to come out back first, so had to be turned manually. The 3rd came out easy, and the 4th had his had turned over his back. Despite trying for some time to get his head pulled forward my friend was unable to do so, and had to pull him out with his head back, rushing breaking his neck to save the doe. Amazingly, everyone is doing well.

Buck/doe twins
Danny kidded her twins while no one was home, so not much to say. Both have blue eyes and look to be polled, so Hansel is doing an excellent job passing those traits on this year. I was quite surprised to find a moonspot on the little boy though, since i never did find any on Hansel, but he must have one hidden away to be able to pass it on, since the dam's line definitely didn't have them.

Twin does
Capella had prefect timing. She lay down to start pushing about a minute after i got there to check on her. I knew something wasn't quite right with the first baby, before she was even all the way out. She was a hydrops baby (excessive fluid build up, usually caused by a defect, like a heart defect) and only lived for a few minutes. The second baby though is very vigorous, and was up about a minute after birth.

Buck/doe twins
I was heading out to do chores with Wyatt, and just did a quick scan of the about to kid pen. I saw a small dark baby near Quorra, but didn't think anything of it at first because Cassi's babies were still in there. Wyatt insisted he thought she was kidding, so i agreed to start there with feeding, and was about to grab their hay, when I saw the baby flopping around, and realized it was brand new, so started running. I'm glad Wyatt insisted because the baby still had the sac covering his face, and I'm not sure Quorra would have gotten it off before he suffocated. The girl was out soon after with no fuss. Both babies are big, and doing well. I'm not sure yet if they are polled. The doeling appears to have moonspots, though not like I'm used to. She has several areas with brown hairs, though she is definitely a black goat. Her grand sire had the same, and was declared by his breeder to be moonspotted.

Triplets - two does, 1 buck
After all the twins from does that were huge, I was expecting a single from Aradia, twins if we were lucky, so they wouldn't be too big. Instead, we have tiny triplets. It's hard to convey with pictures just how tiny the 3rd baby is, but she was just barely a pound at birth. She's very strong and spunky though, and is quick to be right there nursing with her siblings. She will need to grow and straighten out a bit after being cramped in her small mama, before we decide if she will be available registered, or just as a pet.

I missed Cassi's babies being born. I hadn't gotten much sleep the night before, and fell asleep putting the baby down for the night. My little sister was with her though, and all weren't smoothly. Except it was more boys.

Lola and her sister Babs, adding with one daughter each live with someone who wants milk, but doesn't want to be overrun with goats. So, he keeps the does, and all the babies come back to us each year to be bottle babies. Unfortunately, the other girl was hit hard, and we lost her before we got her back to our place.
