GraniteAcres SW Avalon A+++75 (3*M pending)
DOB: April 10, 2019
Blue eyes
I waited 3 years to gets kids out of Widget, and fell in love with Avalon the moment she was born. She is sweet and loving, wanting only to spend time with her people any time she can. As a baby she stayed in the pen just fine, until people came outside. Every 4-H meeting we had at our house involved Avalon on somebody's lap. She has the softest textured udder of any goat I've had. Her udder is held high and tight, scoring a 50 in udder depth, despite the fact that she was actually milking pretty well at the time. She just milked down to nothing. Unfortunately she has some very definite hyperextension in one of her forelegs. I haven't had that issue with anyone else, and wonder if it is at least partially a result of her jumping out all the time. It didn't seem to cause her any pain, but it meant that I was unwilling to continue her in my breeding program. Fortunately, a friend had fallen in love with her during those early 4-H meetings, so she took her, and I am still able to see her. I did keep her long enough though to at least get her star in butter fat.
